SHARE in San Francisco is coming up, and even though I'm not leaving for 8 days, I am completely packed and ready to go. I know, it sucks to be me. Anyway, I thought I might SHARE some info with you if you happen to be attending!
My biggest suggestion for a successful SHARE week is to:
Plan your schedule ahead of time!
There's a great session scheduler at: https://share.confex.com/share/120/schedule/index.cgi?password=*cookie&page=attend&action=schedule
You can select a session to attend, and an alternate. When you're satisfied with your schedule, you can download it; I do it to my google calendar, which I can then access from my phone or ipad. I started doing this in Boston, and it has really made things a lot easier for me. I'm no longer flipping through the onsite guide trying to figure out where I'm going, or looking at the signs on the doors to see what I might be interested it.
Don't forget to evaluate sessions:
Ok, so this is more for me than you...but it really is important!
https://share.confex.com/share/120/sessionevaluation.cgi or www.share.org/sfeval We really do use those numbers for scheduling
the next conference, and I, and each speaker, read all comments.
Attend the Wednesday night project dinner
It's open to everyone! Just sign up with Marna Walle by noon on Wednesday. The dinner is at Lefty O'Douls Meet in Hilton Lobby at 7:00, depart for the restaurant at 7:15.
Chair a session!
We still need chairpersons for several sessions. If interested, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Chairing a session is simply introducing yourself and the speaker. It's a great way to get your name out there! (Networking!!)
Download the presentations
Whether you're going to SHARE or not, some of the presentations are already available for download: https://share.confex.com/share/120/webprogram/uploadlistall.html

Till next time,
PS! I wanted to SHARE this with you as well...
