SHARE Pittsburgh, held Aug. 4-9, 2019, was an opportunity for mainframe professionals to learn from sessions on the evolution of information technology; how to secure organizations against cybercrime; opening the mainframe; and the future of DevOps.
Security risk has in the past few years gained attention by organizations around the world regardless of size. Some, obviously, give it more importance than others, but all recognize that addressing security should be part of their risk strategy.
Robert Rosen, former president of SHARE (2004-2006), presided over a tumultuous time in the organization’s history. He helped to “right the ship” financially, ensuring SHARE’s mainframe professionals could continue educating, influencing, and networking.
