Those of you that know me well know that I am not only a mainframe bigot ... er, I mean … advocate, but also a big Seinfeld fan. I love our platform and this industry, and have spent over 35 years of my career embracing it.
I’ve always said, it’s never been a better time to be on the mainframe. At SHARE Pittsburgh, I could feel the excitement of attendees who are motivated now more than ever to be part of this platform and ecosystem.
A strategic partnership is one in which mutual parties further the collaboration of intellectual resources and information. For SHARE, the goal of our strategic partnerships is to benefit and educate the ecosystem as a whole.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am Dusty Rivers, IMGT program manager (IMS, Database, SAN/Disk/Tape) at SHARE. I have been attending SHARE events for almost 40 years and volunteering with the organization for many of those years.
A strong community creates a sense of belonging, opportunities for growth, a support network, resources, and mutual success. I joined the IBM Z® team in 2015 with a passion for building community and a focus on strengthening the IBM Z ecosystem.
