When will SHARE Virtual resume?

SHARE Virtual 2020: Power-on Reset is scheduled to resume September 22-24 and September 29-October 1. 

Why was SHARE Virtual 2020 paused?

On August 4, the first day of the SHARE Virtual event, we experienced an unfortunate host of technical challenges with our virtual event platform. Rather than proceed without complete confidence that the platform would perform as intended, SHARE made the difficult decision to pause the event.

Can I still register for the event?

Yes. Registration is open for the SHARE Virtual 2020 event. If you had previously registered for the event before it got postponed, there is no need to register again. 

Your previous registration credentials for SHARE Virtual remain valid for the event restart.  

Can I still access the SHARE Virtual library of on-demand videos?

As we work to resume access to the event platform, all educational content is not currently available to registrants. 

In the weeks leading up to SHARE Virtual: Power-on Reset, we will be adding on-demand recordings on the hottest topics, and offering live webinars. You can sign up for the webinar sessions on the SHARE Webcast page. Watch your inbox and SHARE event website for additional details as they are announced.

I was scheduled to present a session at SHARE Virtual. What is happening with my session?

SHARE’s Education team has been in contact with presenters regarding rescheduling your session. If you have immediate questions or concerns, please send an email to speakers@share.org.

I am a partner for SHARE Virtual. Will there still be a Partner Expo?

Yes! SHARE Show Management has been in contact with all partners regarding your partner booths and sponsorship opportunities. If you have immediate questions or concerns, please send an email to SHAREShowMgmt@SHARE.org.

Will all of the sessions originally planned for SHARE Virtual still happen?

SHARE will make every effort to reschedule all sessions that were initially planned as part of the SHARE Virtual program. Full details and new session times will be forthcoming.

Are elections for the SHARE Board of Directors still happening?

Yes, this year’s SHARE election will still take place as scheduled. The election will be conducted exclusively through an online process. Candidate information and additional details can be found here. Voting will be open starting Wednesday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m. EDT and close on Wednesday, August 19 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. If you are an Installation Representative for your company, you should have already received election instructions in your email. If you have not, please reach out to sharehq@share.org.

About SHARE Virtual

Why has SHARE made the decision to go virtual? 

On Friday, May 8, Boston Mayor Martin Walsh announced that Boston will not hold 10+ person events through Labor Day 2020 (see announcement here). This means that convening in person for SHARE Boston, as previously planned, will not be possible. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to gather in person, we respect the Mayor's prioritization of health and safety during these uncertain times.

In an effort to continue to pride our association on education, networking and influence, we are excited to announce that SHARE is going virtual! This will be an incredible, first-of-its-kind experience, and we assure you that the opportunities to learn and network with peers and partners that you've come to love about SHARE events will be present and fulfilling all the same.

Can I register for the SHARE virtual event?

Currently, registration is not available, however, registration will re-open once the event restart dates are determined. Be assured that all SHARE Virtual educational sessions, including those from August 4, will be available on demand until the end of the calendar year. Please watch your in-box and SHARE.org for details as they are announced.


SHARE Boston FAQ

What should I do about my hotel and travel arrangements?

If you have booked your hotel room within the SHARE room block at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, your reservation will automatically be cancelled. If you booked your hotel on your own or through a third-party, please call the hotel to make your cancellation. 

You will need to contact your air carrier to cancel your trip. All air carriers have policies around cancellation of travel plans due to COVID-19, but you should be able to obtain a refund or travel credit for paid airfare. 

What if I submitted a session proposal for SHARE Boston? How will sessions work moving to a virtual platform?

All speakers will be notified of their session(s) status in the coming weeks when the new agenda has been finalized. More details regarding virtual presenting are forthcoming.

Who can I contact with questions about the cancellation of the Boston event?

Our team is working hard to bring you full disclosure and up-to-date information. As we finalize our virtual event, we will continue to communicate with the SHARE community to ensure your happiness as a participant in our virtual event.
